Every Zoom meeting starts off with some small talk or even a private conversation before the rest of the participants join.

Because of this, you don't always want to share the entire transcript & video. Just the good stuff that's relevant to the meeting itself.

Now you can hide specific portions of the transcript & video from the shared view!

(Or as some have asked: How to delete part of the transcript or just not send it to someone.)

How we use it: if we had a lot of small talk prior to kicking off a meeting, we would hide the portions of the transcript containing random topics we hit. That way when the meeting recording link is shared with others, they don't have to sit through it.

Hiding Transcript & Video sections from Shared View

1. Navigate & click on the recording you want to share in the Library.

2. Highlight the portion of the transcript you wish to hide. Click 'Hide from shared view' (the eye icon).

3. The highlighted content will now be struck through on the original transcript. Showing you what will not be included in the shared public version.

Tip: If the hidden portion of the transcript contains a Snapshot, once shared, the snapshot will not work for external participants in the guest view.


How to Edit Hidden Content

1. Hover your mouse over any hidden section of the transcript (struck through portion).

2. Click 'Unhide' (the eye icon).
